Can you break the cycle of depression? One of the steps in beating depression is the word Hope.
If we take a minute we find the word hope is combined with the bibles word faith. The phrase is ” Faith is what we hope for but not yet achieved” so the bridge between depression and overcoming depression is hope.
Where Do You Get Hope?
Hope comes from thoughts, you read something that inspires you. Hope comes from understanding what sin is and your desire to break away from it.
You find hope in others stories. Examples of other people beating depression gives you hope. Hope comes in many forms, this is why you keep searching and reading until you find it.
Does Sin Like Hope?
Sin doesn’t want you to have hope. It will tell you (thoughts) “it works for that person, but not for you” or “what’s the use, just give up” thoughts like this try to combat hope, please be aware of this.
Sin has a whole book of things it can tell you, things that keep you depressed, things that keep you isolated and most of all it knows where your weak.
Using Hope
When you find something to hope for, what then?
You have to start using your new found idea to change your thoughts. If you have an understanding of sin, you know its main target is your mind-thoughts. This is really where the battle starts, so this is where you begin the fight.
You know, there’s all kinds of words used to describe this, there’s good and evil, you have bad and good, finally there is Hope and Hopelessness.
If your mind is filled with hopelessness isn’t depression a natural partner?
Now with hope, you have something to fight sin with and you can start on the road to a better life.
