This is the place, you can put a fictitious name, your email is private, what’s important is you want your life back.
If you’ve come this far just get it out, don’t let fear stand in your way.
My friend, if you can’t stand what’s happening to you, it’s time to overcome, is it time for you? If it is, then do it now…….

It was never my intention to hurt anyone or anything, but I allowed sin to enter. I take full responsibility. The night I lost my friend, my little companion of 9 years (my dog), I was overcome with guilt. I gave up, I could have done more to get her well and I didn’t.
I can’t change the past and I must live with the thoughts of what I didn’t do, but sin went to far this time. I repent every day and this allows me to see how many ways sin can infiltrate our lives. Just let me live each day helping people to understand what I know, let me express myself so they don’t have to get to the point where they lose something they love due to the lies of sin.
I need help! I have never been close to God. However, I have felt his gentle tug, reminding me I need to get into a church. I have had scripture come to me, and not know what book it came from…not even focusing on it. To be more clear, I was very scared, and out of nowhere, the passage: “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of sound mind.”
I also have depression I wonder if it’s OCD…and thoughts that I know aren’t there…and I get so scared I think I’m going to be sick.
Please someone help me!!
Lynn, fear and depression is not from God. So you now know what’s behind this. The question for you is, what do you want to do now? If you felt his tug, then you must believe he exists, therefore you can consider there’s both good and evil.
God says “protect your mind, this is the battleground” this is where it all starts. What you think translates into what you do. You also mention the word scared. Scared of what? Don’t get overwhelmed with trying to solve all at once, but understand what’s at the core of depression, fear and sickness, then we can work on better thoughts. God Bless You…
Hi Lynn and all,I’ve been struggling with sin too especially recently and am hoping to turn my life around right now! Lynn we can relate to your problem, but so can the Bible! so here we go:
Whenever you feel scared know that Jesus is always with you, watching over you and loves you. It helps me when I am scared to remember a teaching in the bible new testament, where the disciples are on a boat with Jesus (MARK 5:35-41)and a terrible storm occurs. This made the disciples very ”frightened” so they woke Jesus (who was asleep on the boat at the time) and said: “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”, so Jesus got up made the terrible storm completely stop! He commanded the wind and the waves to stop and they did so immediately so that all was ”Calm”.
He then said to his disciples: “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”.
Lynn I think that you are in the same boat as us all here please don’t feel alone here, even Jesus’ very disciples, chosen by God become afraid at times and this bible teaching tells us not to be. Rather than panic and become afraid look to Jesus and remember he knows how you feel, so take courage, try to calm down by putting all your faith and trust in Jesus whenever you are scared. Give your worries to God by prayer and thoughts. The storm near the boat in the teaching can be like a storm in our minds, God will not let you drown but rather he will ”calm” the storm (your fears and worries) so that you don’t have to panic.
I hope this has gone some way to helping you.
By the way here is a video from Tom Brown talking about the battle ground of the mind to help give understanding: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomBrownMinistries#p/u/43/nZVCvBky9d8
God bless and be with you all always.
Lord, am sorry for all the sins that I have committed in my life..please forgive me..come into my life..make me a new person and help me sin no more..thank you Lord..
I was saved last year in November….before I got save I liked women and heavy drinking was also part of my life style…..recently I was under some stress and I submitted to the temptation to smoke again……I started smoking more and more everyday…….the desire to drink became more and more heavy…until one day I took as an excuse a misunderstading in the family and got to drinking…I was sorry after that and promised God I am never doing it again….but two weeks afta that I drank again and same thing went on I promised not to ever do it again….but I have done it again and this time around I even went to the extend of sleeping with someone from my past….My sin is so heavy on conscience I am so embarassed…I need to reconnect with God….pls advice on what to do….
Jacob, admitting and knowing that your conscience is alive is a good sign. We all make mistakes. We all are not perfect. The question is, how many times can you repeat the same mistakes? If you are taking steps to change, like not hanging with the same crowd, reading more about how to strengthen your spirit to overcome the flesh, stuff like that, then your on the right path. The thing is every time your regress sin is going to be there to beat you up. In reality sin will use your conscience against you and let you beat yourself up. Learn more about your enemy sin, then read about what weapons God provides for you to use when your tempted. Only make one promise to God at a time, then keep repeating it to yourself and stick to it. Once you conquer that add another, over time you will notice the change in your life. Stay in touch..
