The 7 Deadly Sins Uncovered

If you believe in God, if you believe there is an unseen force called SIN, then you need to find out about the seven (7) deadly sins.

Humans have always been susceptible to temptations, these temptations can flow over into sin. When this happens the end results are usually not good.

Here are the seven deadly sins:

  1. Pride – Humility
  2. Greed – Giving
  3. Envy – Love
  4. Anger – Kindness
  5. Lust – Self Control
  6. Gluttony – Balance
  7. Laziness – Patience

When you first survey this list you will see two words per line. The first word is the sin, the second word is the virtue or the opposite action.

As you might notice these words cover a lot of what we experience in our daily lives. The reason they are called “Deadly” is because of the results they produce. In some cases anger can carry over into killing, and we all agree that killing is deadly. But, what is sin really all about?

Basic Understanding of Sin

In my way of thinking Sin is a negative force, lets say a negative energy force.

Sin is typically a word used in religious circles, we get the seven deadly sins from the Bible. These sins describe traits in man that creates negative outcomes. Sin works through your thoughts, your mind.

Picture yourself as a radio, you produce nothing until you receive a signal on a certain frequency, then music or some audio message comes out of you. The quality of your output is determined by the type of signal you are receiving.

Now, lets translate this into a more realistic setting. You are watching TV, the news is sending negative signals out about violence and other crap, you are receiving this and your output becomes a reflection of all this negativity. Then other thoughts start to flourish in your mind, this is when sin starts to enter the picture.

How to Filter Out Things

Negative things can be addictive.

I try to filter out as much junk from entering my mind as possible, but I still find some attraction to old habits. In this case it is the news, there is something about breaking news that turns my head.

But, I’m well aware that to much of this crap will affect my thinking so I have to reduce my TV time.

We can slowly be lured into these traps and not even know that it is happening. Does a person go from 100 pounds to 300 pounds just like that? No, it happens over time and they become use to the progression, the same thing happens when we allow negative signals to enter our minds.

You learn what to filter out by stepping back, taking stock of what is triggering your negative actions and then building a filter to flush it out of your thoughts. Like I said, I still find at times the news attraction, but I have learned NOT to let the contents stick in my mind. This is something that takes time to learn, do it in steps to start.

What if I Can’t Control Myself?

I have found this statement to be just another of a long list of excuses.

In my hay day of bad habits I made all sorts of excuses just so I could justify continuing what I was doing. It felt good at the time, it was stimulating, it was also hurtful and short sighted.

All these things on the list anger, greed, pride, these are self centered emotions that create nothing but long term bad results. This is why they are classified as deadly sins, perpetrator beware.

We make decisions to control things when it’s convenient for us and we point the finger and blame others when it’s not. I did it, you do it, we all do it. There is no one that puts a gun to your head to make you angry, it is a reaction that we can control if we want to.

Is Sin at the Core of All of This?

I will say that I believe sin is the instigator of all this negativity and emotions.

Lets take another example, the internet. There is porno and gambling and other things of this nature being piped through the internet, and there is also helpful articles and entertaining videos also being offered through the internet. So, don’t you make your choices on what to view? There is no one strapping you in your chair, forcing your eyelids open to watch porno. Even though it exists you have the choice to view or not to view.

This is what it boils down to even if sin is at the core of all this negativity.

If channels one through seven on your TV set were each of the seven deadly sin channels, you do not have to watch them.

Taking Responsibility

Taking responsibility is one of the hardest subjects to tackle because it’s just plain hard to face up to.

I had to go through a couple of situations that just tore me down emotionally and character wise before I could even think about my responsibility to myself.

I don’t want to beat this to death because deep down you already know the truth.

Hey, the truth is we’re human, we’re not perfect, but what kind of life do you want? If you complain about this and that, but then go out and repeat the same old actions well, your a screwball and I am the first to admit I was the biggest screwball of them all, but I wanted to change and did.

Remove the Stress and Anxiety

Folks, by now you should realize a lot of temptation is under your control.

All this stress and anxiety we feel we create ourselves and we ALLOW it to penetrate our thoughts. The key word here is ALLOW, the seven deadly sins have been around forever and they still work now as they did long ago. This is because people either do not understand how it works, don’t care how it works or are happy with the way things are.

Now it’s time for a little pitch. While you are working through the filtering process and reclaiming your sanity why not try some natural remedies that help you on a daily basis, I’m talking about PureCalm.

When we eliminate SIN from our lives life becomes better, we simply become happier and that’s what it is all about.
