Where Do You Stand?

If you believe that the little space around you is the beginning and end, then it will be difficult for you to come to grips with the reality of sin.

Who Created What?

On earth man has created many things, but when you gaze into the sky at night and see the light show of the universe, who the heck made that?

This is when your imagination takes over and discussions take place about God, Creation and Sin.

So, this is why I ask the question in this article, where do you stand?

The answer to this question will lay the foundation for what you believe and how you live.

What is the Purpose of Life?

This question is almost as perplexing as the creation question.

I’ll be honest with you, I really don’t know what our purpose is here. I’ve struggled with this question for years, looking to the church for answers, looking around me seeing people struggle with money, relationships, health, it’s tough trying to make sense out of it.

The next question is, why think about this at all? And that’s a good question, why not just live life and leave it at that?

What is the Biggest Source of Our Problems?

If you look around you will see the biggest source of our problems is US. No, not the United States, but US..WE.

We have desires, we have habits (good and bad) and we live off of emotions. Why do I believe there is sin out there? To me sin is a word that signifys negativity, hurt. We have to put labels on things so sin is associated with negative actions.

Sin sort of capsulizes why we do negative things, but we don’t know why and using the word sin is an easy way to express these actions.

So we take words like pride, anger, hate and make them a sin because they result in bad endings. This all circles back to where do you stand and what do you believe?

Are You Lonely?

Why are there so many lonely people when there are so many people in this world?

I keep throwing these questions out at you expecting answers, that’s my fault. I contemplated this question the other day because as I age I find myself more introverted. I imagined having a conversation with someone I haven’t seen for 20 years and wondering how long it would take to catch up. Then as I went through the dialog I concluded it wouldn’t take more than five minutes to catch up on 20 years of time, what does this tell you?

This tells you our routines are kind of boring, and our routines are our lives. At some point it’s like going through the routine of living just waiting to die, this is pretty pathetic. This can make anyone feel lonely.

Doing Something Useful

So, this whole subject about where you stand is about feeling useful, did we do a little something that mattered besides surviving.

If this sparked any little thought about doing things better, then I guess writing this article was useful.

Here’s a crazy thought, we have billions of blood cells in our body, they have a life span of about six months. The each have a purpose, some turn to cancer cells and others carry oxygen and nutrition to parts of our body, they have a specific purpose. How about us?

There are billions of people in the body of this earth, the problem is we are lost when it comes to a purpose. Can you imagine what would happen if the cells in our body were are discombobulated as we seem to be as a human race? Our body would not survive for long.

Stand for something, latch on to a purpose and get back that feeling of being useful, it will bring life back to living.

If your in turmoil, if your repeating the same actions and your life is unhappy, think about what you’ve read here and think about where you want to stand going forward.
